Barn and Boarding
Horse Boarding with Fsha
Sacramento Horsemen's Association property includes a lovely old barn and certain features of our equestrian facilities reserved just for our Boarders' exclusive use. In order to board a horse at FSHA, one must be a Member of FSHA in good standing.
We have two options for horse boarding at FSHA. Option One includes a private, matted boxstall (shavings added as needed), with attached private paddock, and comes with a private, locking indoor tack locker. Option Two includes a private, partially covered, outdoor pen (shavings added as needed), and comes with shared use of a locking, indoor group tack room. Both options include hay fed three times daily, daily cleaning, daily water tank filling, weekly water tank cleaning, and shared use of a designated Boarder-only round pen and washrack.
Boarding at FSHA comes with many advantages such as free horse-trailer parking on the property (one horse-trailer per horse boarded at FSHA, at your own risk). Many special, custom services are available to our FSHA Boarders at an extra monthly or per-instance cost. Further details are available from our FSHA Barn Manager (see below).
There are two arenas, two additional roundpens, two additional washracks, and many miles of shady trails shared by our Boarders and our Members alike on a daily basis. FSHA Members are welcome to come and enjoy the facility, with or without their horses, during all open park hours, every day. Members who do not board at FSHA are welcome to park their horse-trailers on FSHA property for day use during open park hours only.
It's important to remember that FSHA is a not a private horse boarding facility. As a City Park and a public equestrian facility, FSHA is shared by our entire Membership, and the general public accesses the park every day. Open horse shows and other open events are a very frequent occurrence.
As of Autumn 2018, FSHA has a waiting list for both stalls and pens. Call Carol Sharon to add yourself to the list.
