"A Little Bit of Country in the City."

The Foundation of the Sacramento Horsemen’s Association (FSHA) welcomes you to share our beautiful fourteen acre Equestrian Park !  The FSHA property is a City Park owned by the City of Sacramento and is operated and managed by a volunteer Board of Directors.

Founded by the Sacramento Sheriff's Posse in 1942, FSHA was established to encourage and promote horseback riding, facilitate the sharing of information about horses, and foster a spirit of good fellowship among its members and our surrounding community.  We celebrated 75 years as a Community Resource in 2017 - our Diamond Jubilee Year !

The Park is open from 8 am to 6 pm or sunset (whichever is later) every day, year round. The general public is welcome to enjoy the park and trails every day during open park hours.  There are lush, shady picnic lawns available to everyone.

The FSHA Membership is welcome to utilize the equestrian facilities at any time during open park hours.  A few of the equestrian amenities and expanded hours of operation are reserved for the use of our FSHA barn boarders and employees only.  FSHA is a perfect location to host a horse show - or almost any other outdoor event !  We have two large arenas with good footing, bleachers at both arenas, judge's stands at both arenas, a freestanding show office and snack shack (our"Kozy Kitchen"), and separate his n' hers fully plumbed restrooms as well as plenty of parking.

Our FSHA Historic Saddle Oaks Clubhouse is the perfect venue for a wedding, meeting or celebration of any kind !  The Clubhouse Page has details and photos, and the Clubhouse Calendar Page is a quick reference to find open dates for Clubhouse rental.

Do come and visit us, won't you ?

We think you'll agree that FSHA has a lot to offer !

Join us in enjoying and preserving our "Little Bit of Country in the City" !
